The "An Art Piece a Day..." challenge is a pact I have made with myself for this coming year. Rather then do a normal New Years resolution, I wanted to try to challenge myself in a unique way. Since I am studying as an art student and I am also trying to get ready for this huge trip to Europe, I thought it would be fun to combine them. That is where I came up with this...
THE RULES:
1. Every day I have to do an original pice of artwork. This can include anything from a hand painted frame to a 3 foot sculpture, but everything has to be sellable quality. Any sketches or scribbles I do on the side will not count.
2. If I am working on something that takes more then a day to complete, then I can only count that item on the day it is finished.
3. I have to document my experience every day. This means I will write a little description about what I made, how I made it, and my experience doing it. I will also include a picture of the art.
4. Everything I post will be for sale in my Help!Shop. The art will be eclectic, fun, and cheap! These things will be priced to sell and all the money will go towards my trip.
I start the challenge January 1, 2010!
Wow those are some tough rules. I would have counted sketches and partial projects! But it is a noble goal and think how much it will help your art. The best was to become awesome at something is to keep doing it! Can't wait to see what you do.
